[en] With the Varicent Incentives app for Slack, users can quickly access accurate and up to date reports and generate custom reports and inquiries all within Slack.

[en] Here are some details to bear in mind about the Varicent Incentives app for Slack:

  • [en] Some tasks may not be available to complete within the Varicent Incentives app for Slack and will require you to access the Sales Portal.

  • [en] Your access to reports and inquiries is limited to those enabled by your administrator.

  • [en] Custom Inquires in the Varicent Incentives app for Slack can only be generated if your organization has the necessary access.

[en] Creating a Varicent Incentives account in Slack

[en] You need to connect your Sales Portal account with the Varicent IncentivesIncentives app for Slack to access your reports and inquiries directly from the Slack app.

[en] To register your Varicent IncentivesIncentives account:

  1. [en] From the Varicent Incentives app, click on the Home tab → Register.

  2. [en] Enter your Sales Portal web address, and press Enter to submit.

  3. [en] Click Login.

    [en] You will be redirected to the Sales Portal Sign in page.

  4. [en] Enter your Sales Portal login credentials, and click Sign in.

  5. [en] Close the Sales Portal window after signing in.

    [en] After completing the registration, a dialog box will appear in the Varicent IncentivesIncentives app for Slack.

[en] Managing accounts in the Varicent Incentives app for Slack

[en] You can add, delete, and switch existing accounts on the Varicent IncentivesIncentives app for Slack. You need to be registered to at-least one account to be able to add or switch to a new account or delete an existing account.

[en] Adding a new Varicent IncentivesIncentives account

[en] Varicent IncentivesIncentives app for Slack allows you to add as many accounts as you wish, according to your specific requirement.

  1. [en] From the Varicent Incentives app, click on the Home tab → Manage accounts.

  2. [en] Click Register new account.

  3. [en] Enter your Sales Portal web address, and press Enter to submit.

  4. [en] Click Login.

[en] You can choose to delete your current account on Varicent IncentivesIncentives app for Slack. If there are other accounts associated with you, the next account on the list will become your current account. If you don't have any existing accounts, you will have to register a new account.

  1. [en] From the Varicent Incentives app, click on the Home tab → Manage accounts.

  2. [en] Click Disconnect.

  3. [en] Click Delete.

[en] Switching to another Varicent IncentivesIncentives account

[en] You can transition between two accounts as long as you have already registered a second account. After switching, your current account will display it's own reports and inquiries, while your previous account's information will still remain intact in the Messages tab in your Varicent IncentivesIncentives account.

  1. [en] From the Varicent Incentives app, click on the Home tab → Switch accounts.

  2. [en] Select the account you'd like to switch from the drop-down list.

  3. [en] Click Save.

[en] Viewing reports and inquiries on Varicent Incentives app for Slack

[en] You can access your reports and submit inquiries from the Varicent Incentives app for Slack.

[en] Only the reports that your Incentives administrator has given access to in the Portal Access module will display as an image in the Varicent Incentives app for Slack.   1. [en] From the Varicent Incentives app for Slack, click on the Messages tab.

  2. [en] Select a report from the list of available reports.

  3. [en] Click on the report preview to view the report in detail.

[en] Payees can submit and review inquires on their Varicent IncentivesIncentives app for Slack.

[en] You can only submit one inquiry per report. Select and re-load the report in the Varicent Incentives app for Slack each time you want to submit a new inquiry on that report.

  1. [en] From the Varicent Incentives app for Slack, click on the Messages tab.

  2. [en] Select a report with an assigned Inquiry workflow.

    [en] To assign an Inquiry workflow to a report, read 照会ワークフローのレポートへの割り当て.

  3. [en] Click Launch inquiry.

  4. [en] Fill in all of the required fields, and any optional fields in the inquiry form. Users must always fill in the Subject and Message fields.

  5. [en] Click Submit.

[en] Click on the Inquiry ID and Report source hyperlink to view the detailed inquiry and report directly in Sales Portal.

[en] You can view your recently submitted inquiries by clicking on the Recent inquiries button. You can choose to preview a recent inquiry in the Varicent Incentives app for Slack or view the inquiry in Sales Portal by clicking the Options menu icon more options button.

[en] Viewing pick lists on the Varicent Incentives app for Slack

[en] Payees can view single or multiple pick lists on the Varicent IncentivesIncentives app for Slack. A new report will be generated with the selected value of the pick list.

[en] Only the pick lists that your admins have given access to will be visible in Slack.

  1. [en] From the Varicent IncentivesIncentives app for Slack, click on the Messages tab.

  2. [en] Select a report from the list of available reports that have at least one pick list enabled.

  3. [en] Select a pick list value from the report drop-down.

    [en] For reports with multiple pick lists, click on the Picklists button to select values for each pick list.

    [en] The Varicent IncentivesIncentives app for Slack will generate a new report with the selected value.
